I'm a designer!

About

My journey began in creating medical illustrations and instructional diagrams to simplify surgical procedures for patients, improving their confidence throughout their healthcare journey. This role deepened my commitment to using visual communication as a tool for empowerment and clarity.

I had the privilege of being the first designer at Acuity Insights and Greenspace Mental Health, two early-stage startups where I was instrumental in establishing the design function. As a founding designer, my role extended beyond that of an individual contributor; I took on mentorship and took a lead in advocating for design excellence. I facilitated workshops, led design sprints, and helped shape the vision for nascent products from the early stage.

For example, at Greenspace, I was involved in educating and guiding the product team on using design thinking to discover user problems and validate solutions. This initiative reinforced the importance of user-centered design as part of the product development cycle. Additionally, I spearheaded design thinking workshops to create the vision and strategy for the future of assessments at Greenspace, where I led and innovate alongside with leadership.

Currently, I am part of the Integrations and Insights team at Greenspace, as an innovation team, we employ a rule-based model to generate intelligent recommendations that help clinicians in making informed decisions for their patients. I have also revamped the scheduling system that is part of the core user experience of our Clinical Solution product, with a focus on enhancing usability and business metrics.

In my spare time, I run a small design and development agency where we design mobile applications for the Government of Canada and the Toronto Zoo. Specifically, for scientists and school children. I see it as a way to give back to the community, and to use design to elevate scientific education.
