SeamlessMD overview

As a product design consultant, I collaborate with engineering and content team members to deliver a great experience for patients and hospital care teams.

The Prairie Heart Institute at HSHS St. John's Hospital is the first cardiac institution in the U.S. to use SeamlessMD. This program provides patients with customized reminders and updates, delivered at just the right time in their surgery journey. The patients participate in daily health checks that engage them in their recovery.

Overview

SeamlessMD is a health technology company that provides digital recovery care plans for major hospitals (Stanford Medical Centre, Montreal Heart Institute, The Sunnybrock Hospital etc). They provide all-in-one patient engagement solution to keep track of how well patients are recovering after surgery.

As a Product Designer, my responsibilities are to consult and collaborate with team members on a per project basis. This includes but not limited to: user interface design, market research, design sprint sessions, and user interviews etc.

Timeline and Projects

I used Notion to track and manage multiple projects within the Seamless team. I meet with them on a weekly basis to discuss what to work on, what the goals are, and which projects to put on hold. Sometimes I go on-site 2-3 days a week when a project needs my presence.

Learnings

  • Take initiative when it comes to getting things done. In a small company everyone is managing a lot of things at the same time, so ask for help and ask for direction whenever possible.

  • When working with a lot of strong personalities, I learned to stand my ground, give and push whenever appropriate.
